Seven years ago I exchanged passions. For 25 years I was a Pediatrician devoting my practice to
special needs children. Through a change of environment I was able to begin work on a second
passion--the visual arts. I want to be taken as a serious artist and realize that time, effort and
commitment are necessary along with going beyond one's comfort level. Life cycles, the universe and its laws of nature as well as a feminine view of the world inspire my work. My experience in sculpture began with working in stone and has progressed to variety of materials including wood, bronze, steel, plaster, hydrostone, cement, acrylic and wax. The aesthetic value of a work for me is in the line and form. My pieces tend to be simplistic. There is always more work to do; there are always more steps to take.
