The
human body is the center of all my artwork. The purity and perfection,
the magic and the mystery, and the uniformity and the uniqueness of human
figures are the compelling forces that drive me to capture the true beauty
of each of my subjects. It is very important to me that I capture each
muscle definition, each expression, and even each spirit in every piece
of artwork that I create. By using both shadow and light, I bring to life
the definitive forms of my works. I am able to explore all of the many
aspects of each human figure and exemplify their majesty.
It is essential that an artist truly express himself through his work, but imperative that those expressions bring a level of emotional involvement to their beholders. Art is capable of arousing each emotion that a human can have. It can conjure up feelings of freedom or suppression, livelihood or lifelessness, and happiness or hopelessness when adequately portrayed by the hand of its creator. In striving for perfection in my artwork, I find that I am also striving to recreate such near prefect physical beings.
