This series of Big Sky paintings is a reflection of my fascination
with the sublime beauty of the vast open expanses of the Texas sky.
In these paintings, both land and sea become little more than a reference
point, overpowered by the large volumes of sky and clouds above them.
I am particularly interested with clouds and how these naturally occurring meteorological events effect our perception.
Sometimes clouds are soft, fluffy, and sunlit; but sometimes they are
dark and ominous, brooding with the tension and
uncertainty of an approaching storm.
